SOAMES'S RESPONSE TO WEST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL'S DECISION TO POSTPONE THE PUBLIC INQUIRY INTO THE WASTE LOCAL PLAN

Mr Soames said; "Whilst I am of course disappointed by this decision and its implications for the Freshfield Lane Brickworks site in Horsted Keynes I do believe that the County Council has had no choice but to postpone the Inquiry.

SOAMES CO-SPONSORS INFRASTRUCTURE AUDIT (HOUSING DEVELOPMENT) BILL

Nicholas Soames, Member of Parliament for Mid Sussex, is a co-sponsor of a Bill introduced in the House of Commons yesterday by Francis Maude (Member of Parliament for Horsham) which requires there to be an audit of existing or planned infrastructure in areas of significant housing development.

Mid Sussex MP, Nicholas Soames MP, has written to the Chief Executive of Network Rail to seek his assurance that Burgess Hill, East Grinstead and Haywards Heath stations will be included in Network Rail's station investment programme.
