SOAMES WELCOMES GOVERNMENT'S ACTION ON CUTTING RED TAPE FOR CHARITIES, SOCIAL ENTERPRISES AND VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS

Nicholas Soames MP, has warmly welcomed the Government’s action on cutting red tape for charities, social enterprises and voluntary organisations in Mid Sussex.

Mr Soames said; “A joint Cabinet Office-Department for Business, Innovation and Skills Task Force on Cutting Red Tape has been set up to identify the burdens which affect charities, small enterprises and voluntary organisations. Bodies throughout Mid Sussex repeatedly tell me about the bureaucracy that inhibits them from carrying out their invaluable work in the community and this consultation is an important step in freeing them up.

“On Friday I chaired one of my regular meetings with the Co-ordinators of the Burgess Hill, East Grinstead and Haywards Heath Business Associations and during the meeting I urged them to widely distribute the consultation details to their members as this is a good moment for people who hold strong views on these matters to let the Government know of them.”

Nicholas Soames said; “I would greatly welcome any feedback as this is a very important consultation.”
