Commenting on his visit to Sackville School in East Grinstead Nicholas Soames, said; “I was delighted to meet some of the year 7 students who presented me with a large number of cut-outs of teachers to show their support for the "send my friend a teacher campaign". The campaign is making the case for the need for more teachers in less developed countries than Great Britain.

“I congratulate the students on their efforts and I have written to the Secretary of State for International Development to let him know of their support for this important campaign.”
