The Roundabout at the Junction of Hassocks Road and Jane Murray Way in Burgess Hill

Nicholas Soames visited this very busy roundabout on Friday afternoon with Mr and Mrs Walker of Capenors and District Councillor, Mrs Mandy Thomas-Atkin.

Following complaints about speeding traffic Nicholas Soames said; “I strongly support the views of Mr and Mrs Walker and many other local people that the traffic on this roundabout goes much too fast and is a great danger for people trying to cross the road.

“In my view we all took our life in our hands when we tried to cross the road on Friday.

“I have written to the County Council to ask them to examine what can be done to restore some safety to this very busy and dangerous roundabout. I am determined to get this sorted out in the vital interests of local people.”
