Mr Vaizey MP, Minister of State, DCMS: The Press Complaints Commission is independent from Government. It has over recent years sought to improve its independence from the industry by increasing the number of lay members that serve on the Commission. These now form a clear two thirds majority. We have no plans to suggest any changes.
