Nicholas Soames and Frank Field, Co-Chairmen of the Cross Party Group on Balanced Migration, today called on the Home Secretary to continue the discussions that they have been having on immigration matters.

Mr Soames said; “This was a useful, constructive and helpful meeting. The Cross Party Group on Balanced Migration strongly supports the Home Secretary in her approach to these very difficult matters, but it believes that the work needs to be pushed on so that necessary decisions can be taken.”

Mr Soames and Mr Field will be meeting the Home Secretary again later in this Parliamentary session.
