On Wednesday the Chair of CAGNE, Communities Against Gatwick Noise and Emissions, Sally Pavey met with Sir Nicholas Soames MP, Crispin Blunt MP and Jeremy Quin MP at the House of Commons to discuss a range of issues relating to the airport sector including expansion at Heathrow.
In a joint statement the MPs for Sussex and Surrey stated:
“The decision to expand Heathrow was taken in the national interest following the recommendation of a comprehensive independent report. We welcome the steady progress being made to implement this decision.”
