Sir Nicholas Soames: To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, what proportion of the British-based aerospace sector is foreign-owned; and if he will make a statement.

Anna Soubry, Minister for Small Business, Industry and Enterprise: Approximately 40% of the UK aerospace sector by employment is foreign owned[1].

Most of the world’s leading aerospace companies have a presence in the UK, including those headquartered overseas.

DISSOLUTION OF PARLIAMENT
