SOAMES HOLDS DAIRY MEETING

Mid Sussex MP, Nicholas Soames, had a meeting in his constituency on Friday to discuss the plight of dairy farmers in Mid Sussex.

Mr Soames said; “The whole agricultural infrastructure is under the gravest pressure in the South East and I deeply regret the uncertainty particularly in the Dairy Market. I was delighted that Councillor Louise Goldsmith, Cabinet Member for Environment at West Sussex County Council, came to the meeting together with John Evans of Sussex Enterprise and Jeremy Burdett, a Mid Sussex Dairy Farmer.

“The important thing is that there are real opportunities in farming and we agreed more needs to be done to continue to urge young people of the challenges that are available in a changing market”.

DISSOLUTION OF PARLIAMENT

Parliament has been dissolved until after the General Election on 12th December and there are now no MPs. This website is for reference of my work when I was a Member of Parliament.

I am not seeking re-election.
