It is my firmest hope that you will all have a glorious time with your families and friends.

 

For most people, the love of family and friends is expressed in its most spontaneous way at the great feast of Christmas and it is in particular a most special time for all the children.  This is a wonderful and unique chance in our busy lives for us to spend some real time together and to share in the joy and happiness of the tremendous certainties of Christmas and all that it means for all time.

 

During these celebrations we should all of us perhaps spare a thought for those who are ill or alone and remember those who are not so fortunate to be surrounded by their loved ones.
