ARMED FORCES: CADETS
Sir Nicholas Soames: To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, how many former members of the (a) Sea Cadets, (b) Army Cadet Force, (c) Air Training Corps and (d) Combined Cadet Force subsequently joined the armed forces in financial years 2005-06 and 2013-14.
Anna Soubry,Minister of State for Defence Personnel, Welfare and Veterans :This information is not routinely recorded, however, between 2011 and 2014, on average, 24% of respondents (Officers and Other Ranks) to the Armed Forces Continuous Attitude Survey stated that they had previous service in the Sea Cadets, Army Cadet Force or Air Training Corps. Over the same period an average of 20% of Officer respondents stated that they had previous service in the Combined Cadet Force.
