EAST GRINSTEAD LINE

Nicholas Soames has called a meeting with senior managers of Southern Railway to discuss some of the issues relating to poor performance on the East Grinstead line.

Sir Nicholas, East Grinstead’s Member of Parliament said; “A number of my long-suffering constituents who use this line regularly have complained to me about an appallingly poor service especially, apparently, caused by the failure of staff to turn up for their duties.

“This is completely and wholly unacceptable and an intolerable insult to those who pay a huge sum of money to use the service.

“I shall be asking managers why these HR issues appear to be unresolvable and when East Grinstead people might expect a more reliable service which they are entitled to and for which they pay handsomely.

“I shall be reporting back to my constituents after the meeting.”

The meeting will take place on Friday, 29th August in the constituency.

DISSOLUTION OF PARLIAMENT

Parliament has been dissolved until after the General Election on 12th December and there are now no MPs. This website is for reference of my work when I was a Member of Parliament.

I am not seeking re-election.
