TIME 24

The Foreign Secretary, The Rt Hon William Hague MP, accompanied by local Conservative MEP Richard Ashworth and Mid Sussex MP, Nicholas Soames, visited Time 24 in Burgess Hill on Friday, 16th May, 2014.

David Shore, Managing Director of Time 24, gave a short presentation to the Foreign Secretary before he visited the factory.

Commenting on the visit Nicholas Soames said; “William Hague was extremely impressed not only by the presentation given on the company’s current success, but on everything that he saw and heard about the future of this extraordinarily successful and important business.”

David Shore said; “We were so pleased that the Foreign Secretary could make the time to visit Time 24 in such a packed schedule that includes handling issues on the Ukraine, Syria and Nigeria. He was extremely well received and very rapidly engaged our workforce with great warmth and inclusivity”.

Richard Ashworth said; “I was delighted to join the Foreign Secretary in visiting Time 24, a shining example of individual entrepreneurship producing world class products, European contracts and South East employment.”

Time 24 is one of Europe's most established Contract Manufacturers providing electromechanical assemblies to many varied industries for over 20 years. Over that period Time 24 has provided the wiring and electronics on over 6000 rail carriages in the UK. It has recently won new contracts for a further 116 carriages for Southern Trains and 57 vehicles for the North London Line. It is currently building control cabinets for the petrochemical industry in the Caspian Sea, electromechanical assemblies for radiotherapy machines, control equipment for aircraft simulators and the electrical equipment for a variety of sustainable energy products. Time 24 also supplies the defence industry. The Company has recently opened up a site in the Czech Republic as it starts to target major European markets, especially Germany and France. The Company employs 120 staff in Burgess Hill and 75 in the Czech Republic.

DISSOLUTION OF PARLIAMENT

Parliament has been dissolved until after the General Election on 12th December and there are now no MPs. This website is for reference of my work when I was a Member of Parliament.
