SOAMES GOES GREEN IN BURGESS HILL

Nicholas Soames has donated six trees this year for the enjoyment of local people in Burgess Hill as a compensation for the carbon emissions from his constituency office and the work in the community. Yesterday he planted the trees in conjunction with Burgess Hill Town Council at their new Burial Ground in Jane Murray Way.

Nicholas Soames said; “In conjunction with the Town Council yesterday I planted six native species at the recently opened Burgess Hill Burial Ground. This is a tranquil location and I hope the trees enhance the site and reinforce the message about limiting the damage to our environment”.

In response to Mr Soames’s initiative Councillor Tony Balsdon, Chairman of Burgess Hill Town Council said; “I support this initiative as it is important to keep the future of our environment in the spotlight and educate people accordingly.”

DISSOLUTION OF PARLIAMENT

Parliament has been dissolved until after the General Election on 12th December and there are now no MPs. This website is for reference of my work when I was a Member of Parliament.

I am not seeking re-election.
