Nicholas Soames: To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions whether the nationality of existing benefits claimants are to be captured when their records are migrated to universal credit. [133976]

Mr Hoban, Minister of State: With the introduction of universal credit from October 2013, the Government are considering ways to record nationality, immigration status and residency at source. This will also apply to those claimants already in receipt of other benefits as they migrate to universal credit.
