The Burgess Hill Town Centre Partnership has successfully received Grant Funding of £10,000 and secured status as an official Town Team Member. The Grant was awarded by Mark Prisk MP, Minister for Housing at the Department for Communities and Local Government.

The Partnership submitted the application with the full backing and support of the town’s Member of Parliament, Nicholas Soames MP, as part of the Partnership’s on-going strategy to revitalise the town centre and drive revenue and regeneration.

The Partnership was one of 326 applicants which applied for the funding and it was selected to receive the £10,000 grant as a result of evident leadership and commitment.
As well as the new status of Town Team Member and the grant funding, the Partnership gains access to a support package provided by the Association of Town Centre Management which includes a dedicated retail expert and adviser.

Nicholas Soames said; “Our town centres are the beating hearts of our community. It is through them that we can drive economic revival and through the Town Centre Partnership Burgess Hill has a pro-active and clear strategy to drive innovation and regeneration in the town centre. I am delighted to be involved with such commitment and I was pleased to help to secure the funding. I look forward to working with the town and partnership further.”
