SOAMES WRITES TO CHIEF EXECUTIVE OF ROYAL MAIL OVER THREAT TO POST OFFICE

Town MP, Nicholas Soames, has written to the Chief Executive of Royal Mail to ask for urgent clarification on the reported possible closure of the Post Office in East Grinstead.

Mr Soames said; “Closure would be really bad news. It is unthinkable not to have proper facilities in East Grinstead and I look to Royal Mail to secure the interests of my constituents.

“A few years ago I backed the local campaign to safeguard Post Office services in the Town. West Sussex has one of the highest elderly populations in the country and East Grinstead is targeted for huge growth – this service must be retained.”

DISSOLUTION OF PARLIAMENT

Parliament has been dissolved until after the General Election on 12th December and there are now no MPs. This website is for reference of my work when I was a Member of Parliament.

I am not seeking re-election.
