Mid Sussex MP, Nicholas Soames, visited the Nursery Playgroup at the Yews in Boltro Road on Friday at a meeting with Ian Sanderson, the Treasurer and Sandra Hutchinson, the Supervisor.

Mr Soames was shown around the excellent facilities of the Playgroup and he expressed his staunch support as the Group seeks a fair-funding regime for the future.

Commenting on his visit Nicholas Soames said; “I am full of admiration for the work of the Playgroup and also for the Yews as a magnificent and extremely important facility in Haywards Heath.

“I will oppose any alternations to the arrangements for the funding of the Yews if they should be brought forward unless they secure this vital facility. I shall be making representations to the County Council who are conducting a review of these sorts of facilities.”
