Nicholas Soames MP will be visiting the Chequer Mead car park on Friday 26th June at 1545 to inspect the damage done by the Council’s contractors to the hedges.
Nicholas Soames said; “I was outraged at what I have already seen has been quite unnecessarily done to the hedges at Chequer Mead car park.
“I have complained most vigorously to the Chief Executive of Mid Sussex District Council and I am hopeful that following a helpful and prompt intervention by the Cabinet Member, Councillor Garry Wall, to see an improvement in the devastation wrought by the Council’s contractors.”
Mr Soames said; “I shall be attending the Armed Forces Day in East Grinstead on Saturday and I will also be visiting Sackville College for the Founder’s Parade, and I can only hope that people will not be too appalled by what they see in the Chequer Mead car park”.
