Nicholas Soames MP has today asked the Sussex Traffic Police to support his campaign to deal with the dangerous road situation at the Burrell Road/Balcombe Road junction in Haywards Heath.

Nicholas Soames said; “I am disappointed that the County Council do not seem to realise the extent of the anxiety of local people over what I consider to be a dangerous stretch of road.

“I have visited the site and I am satisfied that local residents are right to be worried about safety. I have asked the traffic Police for their assessment of the situation and I hope very much that the County Council will rethink its position which I urge them to do.”
