SOAMES MEETS STRATEGIC HEALTH AUTHORITY

Nicholas Soames MP attended a meeting with the Chairman and Chief Executive of the Strategic Health Authority yesterday at the House of Commons to make the case for local people’s health needs and to appeal to the SHA to allow the Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust time to resolve its financial difficulties without imposing additional cuts at a time of great change in the Health Service.

Nicholas Soames said; “The financial forecasts for this coming year are totally unrealistic given the pace of change and local demands and I have insisted with the SHA that urgent and sympathetic consideration be given to the need to maintain adequate health services in an expanding region and to allow the management a realistic time to reorder the Trust’s finances.”

DISSOLUTION OF PARLIAMENT

Parliament has been dissolved until after the General Election on 12th December and there are now no MPs. This website is for reference of my work when I was a Member of Parliament.

I am not seeking re-election.
