Nicholas Soames, Member of Parliament for East Grinstead, met on Friday with members of the Post Referendum Campaign Group to discuss matters relating to proposals for housing development in East Grinstead.

Commenting on the meeting Nicholas Soames said; “It was as always a useful and constructive gathering. I am delighted that the campaign has secured the services of professional advisers, which I suggested to them to do some time ago, and given the very complex nature of these problems is essential.

“We agreed that infrastructure is the key to this development and we all share the view that the scale proposed is simply too much for East Grinstead and that a more sustainable approach is required.”

Mr Soames said; “I applaud the work of the PRC and I look forward to meeting them again on a regular basis. I shall be making further representations on their behalf following the meeting.”
