SOAMES CRITICISES ELECTRICITY SUPPLIER

Nicholas Soames MP at the request of the Burgess Hill Business Parks Association has intervened with EDF Energy Networks, the electricity supplier in respect of problems with the power supply for some important Burgess Hill companies including; CAE, Servecorp, Honeywell and Nord Plan.

Nicholas Soames said; “I was pleased at the request of the BHBPA to ask EDF to examine how they can resolve these difficulties which are frankly unacceptable.

“Companies like CAE depend on an absolute reliable power supply if they are to fulfil their obligations. Whilst I am grateful to EDF for their prompt response I do believe that they should ensure that the industry should be able to receive the electricity it needs at all times otherwise, people will regard Burgess Hill as not a sensible place to invest.”
