RUSSIA: CHEMICAL WEAPONS

Sir Nicholas Soames: To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, whether Novichok-5 was declared by the Russian Government to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.

Sir Alan Duncan, Minister of State for Europe and the Americas at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office: Russia has denied having a Novichok programme. It has not declared Novichok agents or production facilities as required by the Chemical Weapons Convention.
