Commenting on the results Nicholas Soames said; “I am very grateful to the voters of Mid Sussex for returning me as their Member of Parliament.

“I can assure them that I will give 120% of my effort in their interest and I look forward to working with the many groups and individuals with whom I am in contact.

“Let us go forward together.”

Nicholas Soames’s majority increased to 7,402 and his share of the vote increased to 50.7%
