NICHOLAS SOAMES IS MADE A MEMBER OF THE PRIVY COUNCIL

The Right Honourable Nicholas Soames MP, Member of Parliament for Mid Sussex, was sworn in by The Queen at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday, 13th July as a member of Her Majesty’s Privy Council.

Commenting Nicholas said; “This is a great honour for me and it was a great thrill to be sworn in by The Queen in such an historic ceremony.”

Mr Soames’s great grandfather, Lord Randolph Churchill, his grandfather, Sir Winston Churchill and his father, Lord Soames were all members of the Privy Council before him.

Nicholas Soames has been a Member of Parliament for 29 years and the Member for Mid Sussex for 15 years.
