In response to a statement made by the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, Alistair Darling MP, on the 'Post Office Review' in the House of Commons yesterday, Nicholas Soames said;
Nigel Waterson MP, Shadow Minister for Pensions, at the invitation of Nicholas, attended a meeting of the East Grinstead and District Branch of the British Pensioners Association on Wednesday 25th April, under the chairmanship of Jim Harling.
Nicholas Soames chaired a Carers' seminar on behalf of the Carers Support Service on Friday 27th April in Haywards Heath.
The WI and the NFU this week teamed up to launch the Great Milk Debate which was officially launched in London on the 23rd April 2007.
Soames and Hendry have expressed delight at the Planning Inspector's decision to dismiss the appeal to allow landfill disposal at the Freshfield Lane Brickworks site at Horsted Keynes.
Nicholas Soames has signed a Parliamentary Motion tabled by his colleague, Brian Binley, urging the Government to give small businesses the credit and recognition that they deserve as champions for enterprise and entrepreneurship.
