Mr Francois, Minister of State for the Armed Forces: The Royal Navy patrols British Gibraltar Territorial Waters as part of Her Majesty's Government's commitment to uphold our sovereignty against unlawful incursions with a range of proportionate naval, police and diplomatic responses.
The Royal Navy's presence in Gibraltar is maintained by the Gibraltar Squadron, consisting of HMS Scimitar and HMS Sabre and is frequently bolstered by Royal Naval vessels transiting the region.
