Mr Paice, Minsiter of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs: An assessment of UK Food Security was published in August 2009 (and updated in January 2010) which shows that the UK enjoys a high level of food security. It is one of our priorities to ensure a secure, environmentally sustainable and healthy supply of food in the face of future challenges.
