FAST FOOD: TAXATION

Sir Nicholas Soames: To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, if he will bring forward legislative proposals to introduce tax on fast food containers.

Mr David Gauke, Financial Secretary to the Treasury: The Chancellor keeps all taxes under review. However, there are no plans to introduce a tax specifically on fast food containers.
