BIRDS: PEST CONTROL

16th May 2019

Sir Nicholas Soames: To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, if he will establish an independent inquiry on the reasons his Department and Natural England decided on the proposal to revoke General Licences 04/05/06.

Dr Thérèse Coffey, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for the Environment: The decision to revoke the licences was made by Natural England (NE) as the licensing authority, not the government. We have not yet decided on a review of the recent situation.
