Sir Nicholas Soames: To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what information his Department holds on the number of applications for individual licences to control avian pest species that were received by Natural England since 25 April 2019.

Dr Thérèse Coffey, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for the Environment: Between 25 April and 8 May 2019 Natural England has received 3,828 individual licence applications for the control of wild birds for purposes which were formerly covered by the general licences GL04, GL05 and GL06.
