Sir Nicholas Soames: To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, how much his Department spent on (a) Sea Cadets, (b) Army Cadet Force, (c) Air Training Corps and (d) Combined Cadet Force in the financial years 2005-06 to 2013-14.
Anna Soubry, Minister of State for Defence Personnel, Welfare and Veterans: This information is not held, however, the 2011 Defence Youth Engagement Review estimated the cost of Cadet Forces in financial year 2009-10 to be £154.4 million. Of this total, the breakdown was as follows:
